The fall is passing us in a whirlwind of change, driving, and settling in. We are learning how to live life as it is now, with a house that we have a new appreciation for and an apartment that keeps us dry and safe. We are learning what kitchen appliances really matter (the breadmaker) and what we are doing fine without (dishwasher and microwave). I miss having a convenient kitchen. A bathroom with elbow-room (I never thought that I would find a bathroom that would make the one at our house feel spacious, but we have). A driveway and yard that are safe for the boys to play in. The internet at home (thus the few and far between postings!). NBC and ABC. But we are also learning what really matters to us - being together. The luxury of having transportation that takes us to places to play (the Eau Claire Sports Center is great!). The support and understanding of friends and family to make this year work. And above all - a God who cares for us, provides what we need when we need it, surprises us, and is with us no matter where we are.
Meanwhile, we went to the apple orchard today and got to check out the pumpkin patch, too. Amazing how these boys grow and change so quickly!
