Overdue Update
A month without an update can feel like a year; for both posters and readers alike! We're keeping busy, mostly with playing outside and trying to organize our lives, but it's all good right now.
On the last Sunday of June we got together with the Bergstrom family to finally celebrate Father's Day (due to previous scheduling conflicts). We had a great meal at the North Oaks Golf Club, and the wait staff were very helpful in cleaning up after a few messy toddlers. We did have the foresight to eat outside in order to avoid too many stains they would have to clean up afterwards!
We've been spending as much time outside as we can these days, and the boys can't seem to get enough of it! Fortunately we have a few nice parks nearby. The Coon Rapids Dam is a nearby county park that has nice walkways, and great climbing equipment for little boys! They always want to start off on the swings...
Then there is lots of climbing, and sliding. Thor seems to be the more adventuresome of the two; going down slides that are quite large all by himself, and then trying to walk back up them!
And on this particular day, they discovered what it is like to run through sprinklers!
July 4th weekend saw some real adventures for the family (except for Dave who had to work :-P) Karin packed up the boys and took them to Brainered again for Dave's family gathering. The boys met some of their second cousins for the first time, and had a great time playing together!
Vanya also got his first innertube ride!
And as if these massive amounts of overstimulation and chaos weren't enough, Karin then took them to Moose Lake for her family gathering on the 5th.
The boys went in a canoe (and avoided an incident that happened in Brainered a day or two earlier!)
Still enjoying more time with more second cousins and cousins, though perhaps a little more peaceful this time!
Here the boys are modeling new pajamas that their mom just finished making for them! (She has since made each of them about 4 more pairs each, and they are all just as adorable!) As you can see, the boys rather like their new outfits.
